About Me
Hey! I’m Connor Freed, Registered Dietitian and owner of Freed Nutrition LLC. I earned both my Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Foods and my Master of Science in Nutritional and Food Sciences from West Virginia University. I’m passionate about helping people cut through the noise of nutrition misinformation and build a clear, evidence-based understanding of what actually works for their health and goals. I enjoy working with athletes to develop sustainable training and performance protocols. I have experience working with wrestlers, endurance and ultra-endurance runners, Hyrox competitors, cyclists, cross country skiers, and climbers. I also have an extensive background in clinical nutrition, and I’ve supported individuals managing a range of conditions, including diabetes, prediabetes, high cholesterol, PCOS, endometriosis, thyroid disorders, IBS, IBD, food allergies, and GLP-1 nutrition therapy.
My Mission
My goal is simple: to make nutrition feel easy and approachable for you. Food is one of life’s most fundamental pleasures, yet for many people it becomes a source of stress and confusion, and that enjoyment gets lost along the way.
This isn’t a personal failing. A lot of this comes from conflicting information and messaging shaped by industries that profit from niche supplements, restrictive cookbooks, and rigid programs with arbitrary food rules—often leaving people feeling like they’ve failed so they’ll turn to the next solution.
The truth is, there is no perfect nutrition plan that works for everyone. What works well for one person may not work for another, and that’s completely okay. Together, we’ll build a plan that fits your life, supports your goals, and is sustainable long term.
When I'm Not Talking About Food
I like to spend my time outdoors hiking, bouldering, biking, etc. I also enjoy playing guitar and video games - not at the same time. I've been trying to read more books and am always looking for recommendations! I like history and visiting museums. Ultimate frisbee has been a new addition. Yoga, sauna, cold plunge, repeat.
